Swim with the best or float with the rest. Come check out this exciting new sport in the oldest mountains in the world with the best guide and instructional service in the region.
We offer instructional services near Asheville, NC. We do not offer guided trips , but since a few rivers are close to us, you might see us out there a lot, especially hanging with new friends after they have gotten into riverboarding via our instructional courses. We'll keep fighting for the right to obtain a permit just like the original permit holders were able to do, and in the mean time we welcome any outfitters on the Ocoee or Pigeon rivers that would like to partner with us to offer riverboarding.
New for 2011. Short evening sessions on the French Broad just outside of Asheville, NC. Mondays through Thursdays starting in May. Instructional course includes land instruction, park and play surfing when water levels permit, a class II + rapid that you are welcome to walk upstream for a few repeat runs if you wish, and a gentle flat water float down to the take out. $ 30 dollars per person.
We're going for a permit on the Chattahoochee in southern, GA when they become available. Look for guided trips from us down there when the dams come down in 2012.
Owner and Instructor, Kevin Yount is one of the pioneers of riverboarding in the southeast with numerous first descents, and over 6 years of personal riding and guiding friends down the river. Riverboarding has provided tons of fun to Kevin, and now he wants to put that same ear-to-ear grin on your face when you experience riding head first through the rapids.
Minimum age is 12 for our instructional classes.
